How to choose the size of your jewelry?

Finding the perfect size:

It's time to choose your jewelry but you don't know the exact size.

The size of the ring is defined by the measurement of the circumference of the finger on which it will be worn but can also be defined by the internal diameter of a jewel if you want to keep the surprise. Do not forget however that the size of the finger varies according to the periods of life, do not hesitate to take some margin with the larger size so that the wearing of the ring remains comfortable.

How to measure your finger?

With a ring:
Measure the inside diameter of the ring you have at home.

With a ring sizer:

The ideal is to measure using an existing piece of jewelry and a ring sizer so as not to make a mistake in size, while keeping in mind that the thickness of the jewelry has an influence on it.

Equivalence table:

  • A size 50 jewel corresponds to 15.9 mm in diameter

  • A size 51 jewel corresponds to 16.2 mm in diameter

  • A size 52 jewel corresponds to 16.6 mm in diameter

  • A size 53 jewel corresponds to 16.9 mm in diameter

  • A size 54 jewel corresponds to 17.2 mm in diameter

Choosing your engagement ring or wedding ring:

For both, they are objects that carry meaning. It is therefore important to listen to your heart because aesthetics are subjective and it is you who must be pleased by them.
You must be able to recognize yourself in your jewelry, it must tell you a story and be the symbol of your relationship.
But here are some tips from our experience:

• Don’t hesitate to try several styles and colors in order to truly choose according to your preferences.

• Consider the color of the stones and gold you usually wear.

  • If you wear other jewelry, try to combine them as best as possible according to their size, discretion, colors... And combine that with your temperament.

  • Take into account the symbolism of the stone you choose as well as its color.

  • Do you prefer a shape that is out of the ordinary or a more classic shape?

  • Don't be afraid to communicate your budget clearly. It's not a taboo subject and we offer jewelry in different price ranges.

Advice for wedding ring sizing (depending on the thickness of your fingers):

For women: Wedding ring width ranging from 1.5mm to 3mm
For men: Wedding ring width ranging from 2.5mm to 4mm

Choice of metal

Choosing the metal is an important step in selecting your jewelry.
In jewelry houses like ours, 18 carat gold (75% gold in the total material) is advocated. However, it is also possible to order your jewelry in 14 carat gold (58.5% gold) or 9 carat gold (37.5% gold).

There are three main colors of gold. Yellow gold, white (or gray) gold and rose gold.

Choice of settings

Setting is the way we insert the stone into the jewelry. The setter lifts a tiny bit of metal with his chisel to gently tighten it on the gem so that it is well held for decades and decades.
There are three main types of setting: bezel setting, claw setting and grain setting.
